Halloween - Odette

Remember the old character Odette (Swan Princess).  There were about three movies made and my daughter had watched two.  This is the costume I made for her last year...

Cherry Blossoms

This is a project I am starting with my mother, long distance.  I prepared the material.  Dying it pink.  I dried it outside and it became quite blotchy...perfect.

Little Red Blood Cell

My son likes the big microbes and I thought I would try to make him a red blood cell.  He loves science!

Butterfly Mobile

I saw this beautiful butterfly mobile at Pottery Barn and decided to create my own for my little girl's room.  I used an old coat hanger, ribbon, fishing line and cardstock.  The hardest part was cutting out the butterflies.  It may go faster with a butterly shape cutter but I like the irregular butterfly shapes and the random nature of their placement...

Aprons for Jacki and friend

Found some extra soft flannel cloth and made an apron for Jacki and her "Emily Bear."  It was a fun project that took about an hour.

Finding Fabric Pieces...

Looking for fabric pieces today to incorporate into my first fabric mural.  I am looking at some clothes that my children have grown out of - lots of denim.  Second-hand store?  I think I'll keep them...there are so many shades of denim...
